April 18th 2008 - I’m a bit annoyed because I missed a tornado in my target area yesterday. My forecast area was fron Ardmore, OK to Mineral Wells, Tx, to Stephenville, Tx, to Corsicanna, Tx with special emphasis on Stephenville area at 7pm CDT. Almost on cue the cells which had formed west near Abilene moved into my target area, and intensified some with decent hooks and rotation showing on velocity. Later a tornado was spotted about 5 miles north of Aledo, Tx. This is an area just east of Mineral Wells so I’m pretty sure I would have scored it had I gone.

Unfortunately I spend the day trying to activate my new wireless aircard, and a few other errands. I finally got it working and  it’s really cool, but it caused me to miss. Appears from photos I didn’t miss much, - oh well.

I now should have pretty good data connectivity and bandwidth to regularly stream live video. Check it out on my future chases. There is a possible one this Tuesday somewhat locally.
