The target supercell looms in the distance as I approach.

Headed west from Jacksboro on hwy 281. It appears to be a tornado in the distance hanging from the rain free base but I am too distant to verify.

As I get closer the feature lifts and loses some of it’s volume.

A funnel extends from the wallcloud.and shows some upward motion.

A better view of the wallcloud and funnel. It appears there could be a small spinup seen near the ground in the form of condensation just to the left of the main funnel, but below another funnel to it’s left. If so, this would technically qualify as a tornado.

Viewing the wallcloud and cloud base from the intersection of hwy 281 and hwy 114

Another view from the intersection looking more to the right or NNW as the storm moves NE at 40 mph or so.

A parting shot of our wallcloud. The storm was travelling 80mph now after it weakened and no longer had a hard right turn into the relative wind which was slowing it down. A number of cows leisurely relax nearby.
